Some injuries are accidents.
Others are the predictable result of systems that were designed, funded, or managed in ways that ignored known risks.
I represent families in serious injury and wrongful death cases where a school, housing operator, contractor, corporation, or other institution failed to address foreseeable dangers — and a child was harmed as a result.
These cases often involve more than a single mistake. They involve patterns:
– Prior warnings that were ignored
– Understaffing or cost-cutting that compromised safety
– Security failures despite known crime history
– Inadequate response to credible threats
– Unsafe technology or monitoring systems adopted without safeguards
– Contractors or vendors who failed to perform as promised
When an institution knows — or should know — that a system is creating risk to children, it has a duty to act. When that duty is breached, the consequences can be catastrophic.
My practice is focused and selective. I do not handle high-volume personal injury matters. I take a small number of serious institutional negligence cases each year, allowing me to investigate thoroughly and approach each case strategically.
What distinguishes these cases is complexity. Liability is rarely obvious on the surface. It must be uncovered through careful investigation of:
– Internal policies and communications
– Incident history and prior complaints
– Budgeting and staffing decisions
– Vendor contracts and safety protocols
– Regulatory violations or inspection failures
In many situations, meaningful resolution can occur before filing suit when the institutional failures are clearly articulated and the legal exposure is responsibly evaluated. When litigation is necessary, I work with experienced trial counsel to ensure families are fully supported.
These cases are about accountability — not theatrics. They are about examining how economic incentives, administrative decisions, and safety policies intersected in ways that placed children at risk.
If your child was seriously injured and you believe a school, housing provider, or institutional system ignored warning signs, you may contact my office for a confidential evaluation.
Due to the nature of this work, I accept a limited number of cases each year (limited to 5).
